Ā Phase 3Ā

In this phase, the goal is to make using your abdominal and glute muscles a daily habit.

Most people are never taught how to do this, even while walking, doing chores, or working, which is why so many eventually end up with back flare-ups again.

Doctors and surgeons aren’t trained to teach proper walking mechanics; they focus on medications, injections, and surgery.

Physical therapists usually just tell patients to walk for exercise, without showing how to engage the right muscles.

At first, it might feel awkward to use your abs and glutes while walking, but this is essential.

Making it your natural way of moving prevents overusing your back muscles, and protects your spine from problems like arthritis, herniated discs, stenosis, and sciatica.
